Councillors in Hartlepool are making a push for all the town's facilities to be accessible and inclusive.
Councillor Stephen Thomas has called for a review of the borough’s regeneration development activity, to ensure those with disabilities and life long conditions have access to all resources.
Teesside International Airport has flicked the switch to launch its new airfield radar system. Thought to be the first of its kind in the UK, the full surveillance radar will replace the old system originally commissioned in 1987. This is the latest improvement at the airport, alongside a full terminal redevelopment, ahead of an expected increase in passenger numbers this summer.
A new supermarket could be coming to Newcastle Great Park. Plans for a Morrisons in the town centre are being submitted this month, with a decision expected in the summer, and a predicted completion date of late this year, or early in 2022.
