BACK TO NORMAL: Age UK reflect on the past year as we look ahead to leaving lockdown
As we look forward to getting ‘back to normal,’ we reflect on what this past year has been like for those in older age groups.
For many of us, the start of the pandemic meant moving work meetings and social gatherings online, which for some was a pretty straight forward process.
But as we've since seen, the digital divide in the country can create serious challenges, with 4 million over 65s having never accessed the internet. To continue supporting the elderly through the coronavirus crisis, Age UK North Tyneside had to adapt quickly - and that they did, working tirelessly to make sure none of their clients got left behind.
