Oyster festival returns this autumn with headliner Bobby Davro.
Comedy, live music and delicious food are all on the menu when one of the North East’s most popular charity events returns this autumn. The 18th annual Oyster Festival will take place at Sedgefield’s Hardwick Hall Hotel on Friday 24 September, sponsored by Great Annual Savings Group.
And comedy legend, Bobby Davro, will be headlining the event, as part of a packed programme of entertainment which will run throughout the day.
Bobby rose to fame in the 1980s, hosting several of his own tv shows including Bobby Davro on the Box, before moving into presenting and later taking on the role of Vinnie Monks in Eastenders.
He is joined on the bill by 12 piece party band Royal Beatz and Irish groups Emerald Thieves and JJ Galway, who will play a variety of popular hit covers.
Much loved compere Steve Walls returns to entertain diners and all money raised at the event will go to the Angel Trust, which provides financial support and services to those in need in Darlington and Durham. Hardwick Hall Hotel owner, John Adamson, is delighted to announce the return of the Oyster Festival.
“We are thrilled to have such a strong line-up and we know it’s going to be a fantastic party atmosphere for the 18th North East Oyster Festival in our well ventilated, large marquee,” said John.
“I have no doubts that Bobby will put on an excellent show and our guests can enjoy a real party atmosphere when the musicians take to the stage. It’s certain to be a fantastic day and we hope to raise lots of money for the Angel Trust, which is a very worthy cause making a huge difference to the local community.”
Guests will enjoy a champagne reception on arrival, a three course fruits de mer menu, oyster stalls and complimentary lager, beer and wine.
