NEWS ROUNDUP: Horse evictions in Darlington & Prince Philip tributes

Horse evictions in Darlington and Prince Philip tributes in Stockton-On-Tees.

'We are not out of this yet' is the message from a care chief in Middlesbrough. Erik Scollay, director of adult social care outlined that it's not pessimistic just realistic to expect an uptick of coronavirus cases as restrictions ease.

Horse evictions
Darlington council has dismissed claims that horses are being unfairly evicted from stables at Brankin Road to make way for travellers. The council claims that the real reason for the eviction is that the site is prone to flooding. One horse owner said that in the 13 years she had been using the stables, she has never had an issue with flooding.
Prince Philip tributes

People in Stockton-on-Tees may continue to leave flowers at chosen sites for one week after Prince Philip's funeral. Parish Gardens in Stockton, John Whitehead Park in Billingham and Five Lamps in Thornaby have been designated as areas where people may leave tributes following the passing of the Duke of Edinburgh.
