MOTHER OF GOD: Line of Duty’s Best Catchphrases

On Sunday night at 9pm, the world will *hopefully* know the identity of Line of Duty’s mysterious ‘H’.

But until then, we’ve been reflecting on the series all week and today, we’re looking at the show’s most famous catchphrases. Episode Six of Series 6 left us with another one of Ted’s great sayings: “Jesus, Mary & Joseph and the wee donkey”. But Ted has an entire back catalogue of famous utterances including:

  •  “Mother of God”
  • “Now we’re sucking diesel!”
  • “We do our duty to the letter of the law. The letter!”

“Jesus, Mary & Joseph and the wee donkey”

Line of Duty concludes on Sunday and the series, itself, has been a huge hit, attracting 11 million viewers for it’s latest episode. Fans will have to wait and see as to whether a Series 7 is in the pipeline.

Time is running out for Ted Hastings as he’s being made to retire from the force. With a sinister new presence at AC-12 in the shape of Patricia Carmichael, does Steve trust the “Gaffer”? Meanwhile, Jo Davidson’s “no comment’s” have landed her a place in the cells... Just ask Buckells, that’s not a great place to be.

Catch up with Series 6 here in our Local TV look-back.

Watch Line of Duty 1-6 on BBC iPlayer ahead of the Series 6 Finale on Sunday night, BBC One at 9pm.
