The Brit Awards 2021 are set to commence on Tuesday 11th May and more acts have been announced this week!

Rag‘n’ Bone Man and P!nk will perform on the show on  with the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Choir.

They will perform their current duet which was released earlier this month, ‘Anywhere Away From Here’, with backing from the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Choir, and join the incredible array of talent already confirmed to perform including Arlo Parks, Dua Lipa, Griff - this year’s Rising Star winner - and Headie One. Due to current circumstances P!nk will perform her part remotely from the U.S. for this exclusive collaboration.

Speaking about performing with the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Choir, Rag’n’Bone Man said: “Having people attend this special evening makes me really excited for touring to come! I’m grateful that P!nk is able to join from across the pond, to my band as ever and the NHS Choir are sounding amazing!”

Choir leader and Children’s Physiotherapist Caroline Smith said: “We’re so excited to be a part of music history, and truly privileged to be able to perform for our NHS family and all the key worker heroes.”

“We hope this very special version of ‘Anywhere Away From Here’ acts as a tribute to all the superstars at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust and our NHS colleagues across the whole UK, who’ve done such extraordinary work keeping the country safe.

“Thanks so much to Rag’n’Bone Man too for inviting us – we can’t wait for the big night!”

Record breaking US singer songwriter Olivia Roderigo will also perform at the awards. Her monumental debut single 'Drivers License' has been a worldwide phenomenon this year, breaking records and hitting the No1 spot in over 25 countries.

Olivia Rodrigo commented: “I’m so excited that my first time in the U.K. will be spent at The BRITs! My U.K. fans have been beyond supportive of me, and I’m so excited to perform for them on this iconic stage.”

Lets take a look at the Trophy...

This years award is designed by Es Devlin OBE and Yinka Ilori MBE and marking the BRITs' first collaborative double-trophy design.

Brit awards Trophies 2021

Winners will receive two awards, in the spirit of 'giving something back', with each recipient invited to gift the second trophy to someone else - be it family member, friend, neighbour, colleague, fellow artist, key worker, or another person important to them.

Speaking to Helen Lamont for the BRIT Awards Show Programme*, Es Devlin explains; “Yinka and I thought that the best award that one could receive would be agency to award another...Each recipient is invited to award the second trophy to someone they consider worthy - it might be recognition - or it might be someone that does something entirely unrelated to music.”

Yinka Ilori continues; “The idea came from the experience of lockdown, where your neighbour you’ve lived beside for six years and never say hello to suddenly gave you flowers, foods, acts of kindness. I wanted to capture that...I would describe it as two artists from different disciplines, different inspirations, coming together to design a trophy based around the idea of giving something back - acts of kindness.”

The co-creative direction of this year’s award sees the larger statuette encased in Ilori’s signature colour palette inspired by his Nigerian heritage; in his words, “an explosion of colour...a nod to my aesthetic, based around my storytelling theme”, whilst the smaller statue is described by Devlin as “engraved with the maze pattern that celebrates the paths many of those working within the creative industries have had to tread in order to progress through this challenging year.”
