BRITS RED CARPET: As Little Mix make history with music stars uniting behind key workers

The Brit Awards returned after a hiatus due to the pandemic - and it was back with a bang!
The biggest stars from around the globe descended on the O2 Arena as part of the government pilot for live events. No masks or distancing - the audience made up of key frontline workers with negative tests needed to be guaranteed a seat.
Starting the show, were a few famous faces - oh and Jackie Weaver!

All 2021 winners received two bespoke-designed trophies, allowing them to regift one of the pair to their own person of choice - and it wouldn’t be an award show without winners - there were plenty of them.
Haim scooped international group.
Whilst the most nominated girl band in BRITs history, Little Mix finally took the title of British Group- the first female group to win the category
Harry Styles took best British Single
And Dua Lipa was crowned in two out of the three categories she was up for - Female Solo Artist and MasterCard Album of the year - showing her support for the key workers in attendance in this acceptance speech
And Taylor Swift given a special Global Icon awards
Performances a plenty as always at the Brits...
And a special performance from Olly Alexander and Elton John after the success of series It’s A Sin...
A first night out for many from lockdown, and hopefully a sing of things to come...
