TRAVEL ABROAD: Coronavirus passports to be introduced for international travel, transport secretary confirms
The transport secretary has confirmed an NHS app will be used as Coronavirus passports for international travel. Britons will find out which countries they will be able to travel to this summer within weeks.
Grant Shapps confirmed an NHS app will be used to allow Britons to show whether they have had a Covid jab, or tested negative for the virus before travelling abroad.
Brits will still need to have a Covid test before they jet off, as well as when they return to the UK. It comes as Spain’s tourism minister says the country is desperate to welcome Brits back from June and is expecting Spain to be on the UK’s green list. Spain is the UK’s most popular oversees destination, with 18.1 million people visiting the country from the UK in 2019. Do you think Coronavirus passports are a good idea?
