105 cases of coronavirus were reported in the North East on Monday. This comes just after the UK reported it's lowest daily death figure since September. At the Monday night press conference, the Prime Minister said that the road map is on track, with the further easing of restrictions coming on the 12th of April, that will see shops, gyms, outdoor dining and hairdressers reopen.
Death at Tyne Bridge
A man has sadly died after falling from the Tyne bridge in Newcastle. Emergency services were called on Monday morning after receiving a report that a man had fallen from the structure, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. It is believed that no third party was involved.
Renters across the North East could be missing out on serious savings. Research conducted by Smart Energy GB concluded that many renters don't fully understand their rights when it comes to installing smart meters, saying that the final decision does lie with the bill payer.
