RETAIL TO REOPEN: How one jewellery shop are preparing to welcome customers back
It was the date set out when an announcement on England’s roadmap was first made - and a date Welsh first minister Mark Drakeford also mooted. April 12th.
The day non-essential retail stores could welcome customers back. Before we meet the team preparing to welcome back customers, a reminder of the moment the date was confirmed.
The businesses opened back in October of last year, in the midst of the pandemic - so Jenny and her team are all too familiar with how to ensure this shopping experience is covid secure.
Something new that could yet be implemented are so-called vaccine passports or covid certificates - with the likelihood covid status could need to be proved in order to travel internationally or gain access to certain social settings - and although many have ruled out the use of certification for non-essential retail and hospitality - a review is underway.
Labour though have criticised the plan.
Back to the shop and Jenny’s JQ Diamonds team are grateful for the support they’ve received.
And for now, it’s all hands on deck ahead of the grand reopening on April 12th.
