Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool got their first win in four Premier League games with a 2-0 win away at Sheffield United.
The Reds had suffered defeats to Everton, Leicester City, Manchester City and Brighton prior to this victory.
RB Leipzig were beaten by Klopp's side, however that was in the Champions League.
Curtis Jones broke the stalemate with a drilled effort from inside the area.
Trent Alexander Arnold had whipped in a cross which fell to Jones alone in the box.
A VAR check was needed as it looked like the ball had gone out before the cross was made.
However, after a closer check, all of the ball had not crossed the byline.
Slice of luck
Roberto Firmino's struggles in front of goal had been well documented in recent months.
He showed a glimpse of his magic when he dribbled past opposing defenders to get space for an effort on goal.
The strike was heading wide of the mark until a heavy deflection sent it goalbound.
Aaron Ramsdale in the Sheffield United net was left powerless as the ball's change in trajectory landed it in the net.
Klopp's team still have work to do to get into the top four but this result needs to be the catalyst.
Liverpool need to embark on a run of form which allows them to climb back into the top four.
The teams above them all dropped points - particularly Chelsea who they face next.
