THE IRREGULARS: A supernatural take on Sherlock Holmes
Last week, Netflix released a new series chronicling the life of Sherlock Holmes' "irregulars".
The Irregulars follows a gang of street teens who are employed by Doctor Watson and his elusive and mysterious business partner Sherlock Holmes. For each episode, the gang investigate a new case, each as supernatural and horrifying as the next. A dark force is emerging that menaces the future of the city, and perhaps also the entire world. It is up to the teenagers to save the world.
And it's safe to say that the show has been very popular so far! Although the series had not reached Netflix's Top 10 the day after its release on March 26, this Sunday March 28, The Irregulars has now become one of the most watched TV series this weekend across the world, reaching the second place in countries including the U.S., the U.K. and France, and jumping to the top of the chart in Germany and Australia.
Local TV caught up with Thaddea Graham (who plays Bea), Darci Shaw (who plays Jessie) and Henry Lloyd-Hughes (who plays a rather different version of Sherlock Holmes than we're used to).
